Improv on the Road

From the backseat this afternoon:

Ellie: "Hey, Curtis...why did the rooster cross the road?"

Curtis (yelling):"Cause he was MAD!"

Ellie: "No...because it was the chicken's day off."

Curtis: "Hmph!"

Ellie: "Curtis, it's just a joke."

Curtis (with fury): "IT'S NOT A JOKE TO ME!"

Not a good day for comedy.
