For those of you faithfully checking the blog for the joyful news of the arrival of Baby Brother Jones, it seems I have expected FAR too much cooperation from the newest male member of our family. I should have known, based on his father's track record, that I was in for a little stubborn resistance.
The "go" day which I so eagerly planned on has come and gone...and there is no end in sight. At this rate, I'll probably be pregnant for the rest of my life. (Boy, that sounded overly dramatic, didn't it?) Okay, I guess I'll only be pregnant for as long as this kid decides he wants to stay warm and cozy in the womb and torment his slightly-demented mother.
So, I promise we'll keep you all updated. Thanks for the well-wishes. I really do have the greatest of friends.

We're checking! Thanks for the update. I always get to that point with each pregnancy that you feel like you'll be pregnant forever..... Dramatic, but can you expect anything less?
Oh man! I feel your pain sister. Were you dilated any farther? Do you want to go for a jog later? Jk.
Nat, I feel like I've walked the length and breadth of this great nation over the last couple days. All I've gotten for it is shin splints, an aching back, and now I've started retaining water. I'm soon going to have the largest cankles on the planet! But...as of this afternoon I have a new quilting project, so at least the days aren't stretching on empty of purpose like they were this morning. How's that for "the glass is half full"? That's as good as it gets I'm afraid! :)
DARN!!! Obviously you're keeping busy..making quilts, and beautifying your blog!....I'm thinking "stubborn" is not the right word for the little guy...maybe it's more like "laid back"..."not in a hurry"..."going with the flow"...this could actually be to your advantage!! :)
I understand your pain. Ask me about my drama with getting Landen here on the day I wanted him to get here. I like your quote of the week! Cute.
