That Man of Mine

About 10 pm last night our house reached melting point. As I was about to perish from heat exhaustion, my handy-dandy husband took some advice from A/C Repair Expert Aaron and headed out into the night to make one more attempt at fixing our air-conditioner. He did a little of this, then a little of that and lo and behold...it started working! I felt like giving that man the biggest hug EVER! (Ian, not Aaron...no offense).

It got me thinking...I have many, many reasons to love my hubby. So, in order to list a few of those reasons I've compiled a list of the Top Ten Reasons Why Ian's My Soulmate

10. He can fix practically anything. (I think he saved my life today!)
9. He allows me to be overly dramatic about the loss of air conditioning (and the many other things I'm repeatedly overly dramatic about).
8. He lets me plan trip after trip to Disneyland.
7. He not only puts up with my crazy family...I think he might actually like them!
6. He loves Waterton Lakes National Park as much as I do.
5. He encourages me to spend time away from him (and the kids) for things like book group, movies with the girls, lunches with my sister, etc.
4. He is usually willing to meet me halfway when having a disagreement or working out a kink in the relationship.
3. He believes in me and pushes me to do things I'm terrified to do. (Havasu...holy crap!)
2. He works super hard to support our family so I can stay at home with our brood.

And the number one reason Ian's my soulmate...
1. He sacrificed an orange roll thereby tricking me into loving him forever and ever. (Good move, hon!)

I love you, Ian Jones!

I want to know more about the orange roll. Good Job Ian! I also want to know about Havasu. I just noticed you left a comment on my blog, are we reading each other's blogs...at the same time?

Long story short: When Ian and I were dating we were at a friends house and they had picked up orange rolls from the Provo bakery (delicious). There was one left (for Ian) and I told him if he gave me his orange roll I would love him forever. We weren't really at the "I love you" stage and I said it in jest, but he still tells me, even now, that the deal hover that orange roll was the best deal he ever made.

That is Awesome Amy! Maybe we should all look at our significant others and remember why we love them. I know often I am really hard on mine and he is a great guy! Thanks for the post! Puts things in check!

So are the Provo Bakery orange rolls as good as the Lehi Bakery ones? That's a GREAT story! I'm glad your not sweating anymore.

The Provo bakery orange rolls are way different than the Lehi ones...personally I like them a LOT better. It's my goal in life to be able to make something similar and be able to eat them whenever I want to. YUMMM!

Way to go Ian for fixing the AC. Isn't it wonderful when our husbands fix something, and you're totally not expecting it. Perhaps more so in my case. Your blog made me thing of Jon and all the wonderful things he does. Thanks for the reminder.
