En Garde!

The dollar bin at Target is a treasure trove of goodness for my kids. I'm not sure what it is, but apparently they are attracted to easily-broken, garishly-colored merchandise. I typically have a battle plan of distraction in place...and manage to press through without too much drama.

Today they had swords.

Yup, I said it...swords. The Holy Grail of toys for a certain two year-old.

Of course he had to get a little more battle-ready by donning his "Ladies Man" t-shirt and a Batman cape.

He didn't have one before now due to his penchant for using such weaponry on others. But, for a buck, I figured they'd be broken long before I'd regret the decision.

(What d'ya want to bet these suckers last us years?)

I JUST bought that exact sword for our "you can earn it" bucket - and now it's the hottest toy in town...I have to go back and buy 3 more to stop the fighting in our house. I know - kind of ironic - I have to buy swords to stop the fighting. Hmmm...

I would like to know how well these swords to survive at your house. Because regardless of how beloved they are around here, they ALWAYS seem to break. It doesn't matter if they are foam or plastic. Of course, my oldest boy is a bit of a destructo, so there may not be much comparison...
